Paul was livid, and walked out on the entire production. SBLV was an acronym for 'South Beach Las Vegas' and the inside bar featured a giant light up sign that said 'GAY OL' TIME', which according to the staff was more offensive than anything.

the employees literally started crying because the legendary GIPSY sign was gone. When the new club was revealed with its new name SBLV, which sounds more like an STD than a clubs name. it just seemed like another day in Gay Vegas! Paul, who is also the owner of Piranha Nightclub, was not satisfied at all with Bar Rescues redesign. The show was filled with drama whether Paul was firing employees, screaming for a cocktail or demanding more JANET JACKSON, he gave the network what they wanted! To us. Basically, bar owner Paul San Filipo asked the show to redesign his nightclub that was desperately in need of a revamp, to say the least.
